Ukraine 822 drones, Kushner-Hamas Gaza, Microsoft patches, TSMC hits record

Russia's Ministry of Defense says Ukraine launched 822 drones across Russian territory overnight Sunday — the largest Ukrainian aerial barrage of 2026. Over 600 targeted Moscow alone. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported 201 drones intercepted in the Moscow region. Six people were killed: five in the Rostov region bordering Ukraine, one in the Moscow region (an 83-year-old). Thirty-nine were injured. A Wildberries warehouse in Podolsk, south of Moscow, was hit and caught fire.

Scale and Numbers

Russia's MoD confirmed 822 drones destroyed — surpassing December 2025's single-night record of 672. Ukraine's General Staff has not released its own launch count. The barrage ran approximately 02:00–06:00 local time, targeting infrastructure and logistics across 15 Russian regions simultaneously.

Wildberries Warehouse Strike

A Wildberries distribution warehouse in Podolsk — 40 km south of Moscow — was struck and set ablaze. This is Ukraine's third drone strike on Wildberries logistics infrastructure in 2026. Ukraine's strategy increasingly targets economic supply chains to impose civilian disruption costs on the Russian interior beyond purely military sites.

Russian Retaliation on Kryvyi Rih

Russian ballistic missiles struck Kryvyi Rih — Ukraine's fourth-largest city and an industrial hub — killing two and wounding 14. President Zelensky confirmed the strike via Telegram. Kryvyi Rih has been targeted repeatedly as Russia attempts to degrade Ukrainian industrial output and civilian morale through systematic infrastructure strikes.
The 822-drone count is a capability benchmark, not a one-off. Ukraine's drone industrial base keeps scaling faster than Russia's air-defense absorption rate.
