Iran second wave, Graham dead, GPT-5.6 clears, Apple sues OpenAI

U.S. forces have now hit 140 targets inside Iran across two nights of strikes. Iran's IRGC fired back across the Gulf Monday morning: two HIMARS launchers and missile-packed warehouses in Kuwait claimed destroyed; a P-8 Poseidon hangar and drone command center at Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain struck; fuel depots and ammunition storage at Prince Hassan Air Base in Jordan set ablaze; long-range FPS radar in Oman claimed destroyed. Jordan intercepted four inbound missiles. Bahrain sirens activated.

US Strike Scale

140 U.S. strike targets include nuclear infrastructure, missile production facilities, and command nodes. B-2 stealth bombers paired with ship-launched cruise missiles drove each wave. Tehran's Khuzestan deputy governor confirmed one security guard killed at a water pumping station in Mahshahr County during a U.S. strike.
2

Hormuz Standoff

Iran declared the Strait of Hormuz closed; Trump disputed the claim and said the waterway remains open to commercial traffic. Brent crude jumped 7% above $77/barrel, WTI climbed 6% past $72. Energy stocks opened up 1.4% — the sole green sector Monday. Hormuz carries roughly 17 million barrels per day, about 17% of global supply.

Regional Escalation Risk

Kuwait, Jordan, and Bahrain now face direct IRGC fire despite not declaring war on Iran. Qatar's Al Udeid Air Base — housing U.S. CENTCOM air operations — has not been struck as of Monday morning. Ceasefire negotiations have collapsed. The IRGC reaching across four Gulf states simultaneously is the new operational baseline.
140 targets in and Iran is still striking across four Gulf states. The deterrence logic hasn't closed yet.
